When I got pregnant with my first child in 2009, I was already overweight and knew nothing about pregnancy, nutrition, or fitness. At that point I had struggled with my weight for over 10 years so I just thought, “heck, now I can eat anything I want!!” And boy did that catch up to me!!!!! I ended up gaining around 70lbs, and to my surprise, that weight did not all just fall off when my son was born!!!

So when I got pregnant with out second child, I was determined not to make the same mistakes as we all know how hard it is to loose weight!!! I worked out everyday, lifted weights for most of the pregnancy, and stayed very active. On my due date, I had only gained 28lbs and that time lost most of it within a few weeks after having my daughter.

As a personal trainer, I saw a need to educate women on how they can keep up their activities levels and fitness during their pregnancy. Not only does it have lots of benefits for us Mom’s but also for our unborn babies too!!!  And thus was born my new program, Bumps and Barbells!!!! This program teaches you how to continue exercising, what exercises are ok to do, proper nutrition, how to know what amount extra to eat, and also keeps you up to date on what your body is going through during each trimester.
