When it comes time to get yourself on track with your nutrition, many people ask where do they start?? I’m personally a big fan of a detox/clean eating plan to help launch you onto you healthy eating plan. Now I know what you are thinking, and nope this is not one of those weird things where you drink green juice for 3 days. Its simply a clean eating food plan, with the option to use a plant based drink, to help get your body back on track.
The reason I like to do this is it helps to get toxins out, plus for many people who follow it, it takes away the cravings for sweets! It also gives you an energy boost which is a big help for most people!!!
How does it work?? You simply follow my meal plan! You can substitute as needed but the closer you follow the plan, the better!
For breakfast you can have things like oats, greek yogurt, egg whites, or a protein shake.
Lunch options are sweet potatoes, brown rice, any vegetables, and protein such as chicken, ground turkey, fish or tuna.
Afternoon snacks are items like hard boiled egg whites, almonds or a protein shake.
Dinner includes a meat of your choice, more veggies, and brown rice or sweet potato.
As you can see, its plenty of food and your portions can be adjusted to meet your own personal needs. The point of these foods is to eat clean items, not things that are processed and high in sugar.
